Call for Papers

The purpose of MA 2019 conference is to stimulate and advance scientific knowledge, professional interaction and the exchange of ideas among scientists, hospital staff, technicians, students and business partners relating to movement analysis in adults and children in clinical and research settings. Conference is multidisciplinary by nature, mainly interacting clinical and bioengineering disciplines, and ranging from basic sciences to applied practices. Orthopaedic surgeons, physiatrist, physiotherapists, human movement scientists, biomechanical and biomedical engineers; as well as many others are invited and welcomed.

The MA 2019 conference will focus on all areas of movement analysis in medicine & biology. The conference will be divided into three sections:

A. Scientific section: all papers will be published in scopus indexed Clinician and Technology Journal (Lékař a technika).

B. Expert and Student section: all abstracts will be published in conference proceedings.

 

Paper Submission

All accepted papers will be publised in scopus indexed Clinician and Technology Journal (Lékař a technika).

The instructions and templates for preparing your manuscript for MA 2018 Conference are in line with the requirements of the Clinician and Technology Journal (Lékař a technika). Please write and format your manuscript according to the guidelines of Clinician and Technology Journal (Lékař a technika). The reviewing process is double blind. Each paper will be reviewed by at least two reviewers. The reviews will be considered by the Conference Committee and the final results will be announced by e-mail to the authors (first authors) before the conference. The Committee will decide which papers will be accepted and may reconsider the final presentation type and topic selection.

The number of submitted papers per one submitter/author is not limited. Papers should be submitted electronically, using the interactive form. Please be careful when giving your e-mail addresses. In the case of a group of authors, our correspondence will be directed to the first author.

All presenting authors will be asked to declare a disclosure of their potential conflict of interest when submitting their papers. Without the declaration submitted, the paper cannot be accepted.

All presenting authors will be notified with the papers evaluation results by February 18, 2019 April 30, 2019.
All presenting authors are obliged to register for the meeting by April 8, 2019 May 17, 2019.

Abstract Submission

Abstracts must be submitted electronically via the kutilek@fbmi.cvut.cz by the given deadline February 1, 2019 April 7, 2019. 
A preferred presentation method should be mentioned during the submission from the following options: Oral Presentation, Poster Presentation. All abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee, who will consider its formal aspects and content. The Committee will decide which abstracts will be accepted and may reconsider the final presentation type and topic selection. 
Accepted abstracts will be made available to all meeting attendees within conference proceedings. Accepted abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings with ISBN online. Rejected abstracts will not be displayed or published. Please have your abstract checked for correct spelling, punctuation, grammar and formal structure. 
All presenting authors will be notified with the abstracts evaluation results by February 1, 2019 April 30, 2019.
All presenting authors are obliged to register for the meeting by April 8, 2019 May 17, 2019.
All presenting authors will be asked to declare a disclosure of their potential conflict of interest when submitting their abstract. Without the declaration submitted, the abstract cannot be accepted.

All abstracts must be written in English. The abstract title is limited by 15 words. Up to 10 authors can be submitted for an abstract (including the presenting author). The presenting author is selected first; other authors can be added only when the presenting author is submitted. However, the author order can be changed if needed by swapping the names in the list of the authors. The first name is always considered to be the main author. The maximum abstract length is 450 words. Please note each abstract must follow a mandatory structure: Introduction, Research Question, Methods, Results, Discussion, References. Up to 2 pictures / charts / tables (TIFF, EPS or JPEG) can be uploaded within the abstract submission. Charts and tables can only be uploaded as a picture. Maximum file size is 20MB.
